Miriam Smith, Director
A graduate from Aberdeen University, Miriam joined Midlothian Enterprise Trust in 2001 (now the Business Partnership Ltd) and was responsible for setting up their subsidiary company, Essential HR Ltd (now the Bright Business Partnership Ltd). As director she is responsible for managing and developing the services provided by the company. These include Enterprise in Education initiatives, Undergraduate and Graduate placement and recruitment programmes and an HR support service aimed at small to medium sized businesses. Prior to this she had a successful career as a Chartered Surveyor working in a variety of large and small businesses throughout the UK.

Louise Evison, Project Manager
Louise graduated from the University of Stirling in 2004 with a BA (hons) degree in Human Resource Management. She has been working with the Bright Business Partnership (formerly Essential HR) since leaving university and is responsible for the delivery of the Shell STEP student placement programme across Edinburgh, Lothian’s and the Scottish Borders. Louise also runs Graduates for Business in Forth Valley and Grampian as well as assisting in Edinburgh and the Lothian’s. Louise is CIPD qualified and is currently also working on the development and delivery of our HR service.

Sandra Morisetti, HR Consultant
Sandra joined the Bright Business Partnership (formerly Essential HR) in 2007. Her background is within the Hospitality Industry, with a wealth of experience within Front of House and 20 years of experience within Personnel. She was responsible for Managing the personnel department ensuring compliance with Corporate and Divisional hotel policies and procedures. Sandra also provided advice/support to all Managers on all HR issues including employment law, performance management and absence management.
Sandra is a member of the Specialist Paralegal in Employment Law and works on a flexible basis to provide HR support and Consultancy for the Bright Business Partnership's clients.
Emma Shaw, Project Officer
Emma graduated from Napier University with a BA (Hons) in Marketing Management in July 2006. She joined the Bright Business Partnership team (formerly Essential HR) in June 2007 for an initial 4 month period to work on a research project as part of a joint venture with Jewel and Esk College. Emma now co-ordinates all employer engagement initiatives with the College which incorporates, school/ college/ employer partnerships, college placements and a range of other projects promoting the college to local businesses. In addition she markets and delivers the Midlothian Apprentice of the Year Awards and the More Choice, More Chances Strategy on behalf of Midlothian Council.
